Moor Hall wins Birmingham Council’s Green Restaurant Award

We  are delighted to have won an award for Energy Reduction at Birmingham Council’s  annual Green Restaurant Awards.

The  Green Restaurant Awards are organised by the Birmingham Environmental  Partnership to recognise excellence and commitment to the environment in the  restaurant sector and are the first of their kind in the country. This year,  competition was particularly tough for awards in the 4 categories of Waste  Management, Energy Reduction, Staff & Community and Purchasing and the  winners were announced at a ceremony at the Council House in Birmingham.

Our  team won an individual award for their efforts in reducing the hotel’s energy  consumption and the hotel WAS also highly commended in the Purchasing category.

Angela  Burns, Chief Executive of Webb Hotels & Travel said: “We are delighted to  have won Birmingham’s Green Restaurant Award for Energy Reduction. This award,  along with the commendation for our purchasing, is testament to the hard work  that our green team has put in over the last few years to reduce our carbon  footprint and we are determined to find ways to become even more  environmentally friendly in the future”.
