We stock Brewdog, a company prioritising reducing their emissions and increasing their sustainability

Our bio mass boiler supplies the heating and hot water for 32 bedrooms. The wood pellets used are registered with Ofgem which means they are from wood sources that are renewable and sustainable
Our solar panels help power the laundry and maintenance buildings. We have a grant to install new solar panels in 2023.
We have invested £75k (in 2022) on new eco-friendly washing and drying machines which help reduce water and energy
95% of our lightbulbs have been changed to energy saving LED bulbs
We have replaced the TVs in bedrooms to low energy LED TVs
Our data chargers are set to eco mode which uses 20% less energy
We have installed new electric car charging points - 4 in our main car park and 1 in the staff car park

We recycle all used paper, plastic and cardboard
Our food waste is sent to an anaerobic digestion plant

The foil wrapped toiletries in our bedrooms use 70% less packaging than traditional single use plastics
The soap in the showers in the guest bathrooms are via pump dispensers which reduce single use toiletry bottles

We use a chemical free cleaning system
We have a dosing machine which weighs the laundry to use the correct amount of detergent to wash and also reduces washing times
We do our laundry onsite which means we don't need or have daily deliveries of clean laundry like a lot of other hotels

We fundraise for local charities and support many local causes and suppliers. Our charity of the year for 2022 is The Donkey Sanctuary Birmingham based in Sutton Park
We actively encourage wildlife in our woodlands with bird boxes and conservation. We are looking to add bug hotels and hedgehog homes this year
We offer a guests the choice of offsetting their carbon dioxide emissions when they visit. The funds are used to plant mature trees in our woodlands
The conservation work in the woodlands includes a tree management plan to encourage native species
We encourage guests to take a Wellness Walk in our woodlands when they visit which includes a fairy door trail and wish trees. This is to encourage more guests to our natural woodlands so they can see they conservation work.

We source suppliers to work with based on their sustainability credentials
We choose local and small suppliers when possible
