Had a great afternoon with the wife. My wife and I enjoyed an excellent afternoon tea, she had the ladies version while I had the gentleman's option. The gentleman's option had a selection of sandwiches including pulled pork, Beer batter fish, Coronation chicken and smoked salmon. I had the option for steak also but declined that. All tasty, and exquisitely laid out. My wife had the vegetarian options which she enjoyed; gorgeously traditional finger sandwiches. The presentation of both was as thoroughly outstanding. Then the cakes, all the classics Chocolate Eclair, Cherry Bakewell, Custard Slice, Walnut Cake. We also had plain and fruit scones, with clotted cream and strawberry jam. In truth, we couldn't finish all the cakes and they packed them up in quaint cake boxes which we took home. My daughter who's 13 celebrated her birthday with her girl friends, they also enjoyed an afternoon tea in the main restaurant while my wife and I had our tea in another room. Leaving the girls to enjoy theirs. The Staff took care of everything and made it very special thanks to Angie and Georgia. They pull out all the stops and nothing was a problem. They arrange the tables, we had delivered some balloons and they were elegantly set. They made them fruit cocktails in champagne flutes. The kids had lots of fun, having all dressed for the occasion.
I love everything about Moor Hall, I come for numerous spa days throughout the year.
Lovely location for afternoon tea. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist who directed us to the lounge for tea, but weren't sure on arrival where to sit due to lack of staff. However, once seated it was a nice level of service - once we had everything, we were left to ourselves. Gorgeous little walk beside the golf course afterwards. Food very pleasant; we've had more generous afternoon teas for the price, but there was enough that we felt replete while there were still a couple of little cakes left: for these we were provided with a box to take them with us. Plenty of space in the lounge despite it being a bank holiday.
