Fitness Classes

The Leisure Club at Moor Hall offers a wide range of fitness classes throughout the day, 7 days a week. Our classes are led by our qualified fitness instructors who can give advice on how to make the class more suitable for any fitness level.

Aqua Fit: Monday 7.30am & 2.30pm, Tuesday 7.30am, Wednesday 2.30pm, Thursday 7.30am & Friday 2.30pm

A fun water workout that improves fitness using dumbbells, woggles or mitts whilst protecting the joints.

Fitness Pilates: Tuesday 7.20pm & Wednesday 11am

Works on the deep postural muscles, rebalancing & strengthening the body. Promotes postural alignment for a longer, leaner, stronger, more toned body.

Freesyle Fitness Yoga: Tuesday 8pm & Thursday 11am

Targets flexibility, core stability and strength. It mimics yoga in its breathing and style, offering postures that endorse strength and stability.

Sculpt & Tone: Wednesday 9.30am

A workout with resistance which targets the major muscle groups to tone and sculpt your body. This class incorporates body bars, resistance bands, dumbbells & stability balls.

On the Ball: Tuesday 9.30am

A class using a stability ball that improves body and movement awareness, creating better posture and balance whilst incorporating toning.

Stretch & Flex: Friday 11am

A class to maintain and develop flexibility with relaxation to finish.

Back Care & Yoga: Saturday 12pm

A class to assist with spinal movement and awareness. The back maintenance exercise programme is the key to a healthy back.

Dru Yoga: Thursday 7.10pm

Using soft flowing movements, direct breathing and visualisation, Dru yoga works on body, mind and spirit and improves strength and flexibility.

Tai Chi: Thursday 2pm

Tai chi, also called tai chi chuan, combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements. Originally developed as a martial art in 13th-century China, tai chi is now practised around the world as a health-promoting exercise.

Kettlebells: Monday 6.15pm, Tuesday 6pm & Thursday 7.15pm

This total body workout will give fast results for strength, endurance and muscle toning using dynamic, total body movements. This class will help strengthen your core and improve posture, while stripping body fat.

Aerotone: Friday 9.30am and Saturday 10.30am

A mixture of aerobics, body conditioning, core stability and flexibility.

Functional Fitness: Tuesday 11am

This is a class in which you perform tasks in training that replicate the movements found in life; improve your strength while increasing your heart rate.

Studio Cycling: Tuesday 6.45pm, Wednesday 7.15am and 8.15pm, Thursday 6.15pm, Friday 8am, Saturday 8am and Sunday 9.30am

Studio Cycling is a highly effective workout which improves coordination, strength and endurance - it’s an excellent calorie burner.

30 Minute Interval Work Out: Monday 11am

A 30 minute Interval workout is designed to target all areas of fitness in one class. The interval training format where bursts of non-choreographed aerobic activity are separated by periods of muscular strength and endurance work.

HIIT: Thursday 9.30am and Friday 6.15pm

HIIT, or High Intensity Interval Training, is a total body, heart pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout. This interval based class combines full boy strength training with high intensity cardio bursts designed to tone your body and improve your endurance. Modifications for all fitness levels are provided.

Dancercise: Monday 7.10pm

A high energy, aerobics based uplifting class using movements inspired by dance styles such as jazz, jive, ballet and more. Working on co-ordination, core stability, flexibility, this is a great feel good class.

Bums & Tums: Friday 6.45pm

A class based on targeting the most problematic areas to help burn calories and tone. This class involves aerobic, stationary and floor based exercises to work on those targeted areas and really feel the burn.

Powerhoop: Monday 8pm

The full-body Powerhoop Workout is more than just hip twirling; Powerhoops work all of the body’s muscle groups in a variety of fun and effective exercises. Powerhoop’s weight and large diameter make hooping easy.

Outdoor Bootcamp: Saturday 9am

A fun way to burn calories and tone the whole body. Lots of body weight exercises, fun games and races for all ages. Taking place on the lawns at the front of Moor Hall.
