The Oak Room Restaurant

A warm welcome to the award winning, AA Rosette Oak Room restaurant at Moor Hall.

We invite you to relax in the fine surroundings and original dining room of Sir Edward Ansell, of Ansell Brewery Fame, who owned Moor Hall in the 1900s.

The Oak Room restaurant offers the perfect combination of modern British food and friendly attentive service. By day it has sweeping views across Moor Hall golf course, by night there is a cosy and intimate atmosphere, making it perfect for a relaxed evening out or a special celebration.

In the Oak Room, the Head Chef uses only the best of fresh, local and seasonal ingredients to create modern British dishes that are cooked with imagination and served with style and the menu is complemented by a great selection of fine wines.

Opening Times:

Open for lunch: Sundays between 12.30pm and 2pm
Open for dinner: Fridays & Saturdays between 6.30pm and 9pm

Supplier Information

We place a great deal of importance on using local produce and suppliers wherever we can. All our meat is Red Tractor Assured which means its production meets animal welfare standards and it is fully traceable back to independently inspected farms in the UK.

Our meat is sourced from Owen Taylor & Sons, a family-run butchers that sources meat from farms in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. Our fruit and vegetables are sourced from Interfruit, a Birmingham based family run business which sources the finest fresh produce. They aim to source produce locally as much as possible and support local farmers and markets by buying local produce directly from the growers. Our cheese is sourced from Cheltenham Cheese Co. Ltd, a small independent company that supplies high quality English and continental cheeses and other milk based foods such as yogurt and clotted cream.
