We place a great deal of importance on using local produce and suppliers wherever we can. All our meat is Red Tractor Assured which means its production meets animal welfare standards and it is fully traceable back to independently inspected farms in the UK.
Our meat is sourced from Owen Taylor & Sons, a family-run butchers that sources meat from farms in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. Our fruit and vegetables are sourced from Interfruit, a Birmingham based family run business which sources the finest fresh produce. They aim to source produce locally as much as possible and support local farmers and markets by buying local produce directly from the growers. Our cheese is sourced from Cheltenham Cheese Co. Ltd, a small independent company that supplies high quality English and continental cheeses and other milk based foods such as yogurt and clotted cream.
We visited for the evening as an overnight getaway. It was our 2nd visit here and both visits have been fantastic. Friendly staff, beautiful building, large and very clean rooms with all you need for a short stay. A lovely little spa area which was spotlessly clean and tidy and very relaxing. We ate in the Oak Room Restaurant and I can honestly say the food was fantastic, 5-star quality and the service staff were fantastic. breakfast was also extremely tasty with lots of choice and all very fresh. overall we were very happy with our stay and we will be back in the future
Booked the Oak Room online for the first night of our weekend stay. The restaurant was full but plenty of space between the tables, we were seated promptly and were well looked after by a young waiter. He was very professional, polite and attentive for the whole of our meal. The menu was varied, all the courses we ordered were excellent and delicious. A definite for our next stay.
My husband and I stayed at Moor Hall on the 19th March and had an amazing time. we utilised the leisure club and spa facilities followed by a beautiful walk around the grounds of the hotel. We had a stunning meal in The Oak room where the staff were very attentive and informative on the menu, the food was absolutely stunning. We thought the first two courses were hard to beat until the desert arrived which was outstanding. lemon tart which looked like a cooked breakfast in a frying pan( lemon tart(which looked like a fried egg) orange sorbet (beans) toasted cake (fried Bread). just amazing. we manged to attend a spinning class the following morning to top off our experience and it didn't disappoint. Excellent staff all round.
