Moor Hall Hotel & Spa donates £12,000 to 3 local charities

We’re pleased to announce that we  recently presented cheques totalling £12,000 to three local charities: St Giles  Hospice, The Cancer Support Centre and Sutton Support Services, which runs  development programmes for adults with learning difficulties.

The money was raised during 2011  as part of the hotel’s 50th anniversary celebrations through special  events, including a charity dinner featuring local music star Tony Christie, a  staff football match, and through donations from hotel guests (an optional 50p  was added to every hotel bill during the year).

“We are delighted to be able to  support three charities that make a real difference to local people’s lives”  commented Angela Burns, Chief Executive. “We would like to give a special thank  you to our customers, suppliers and Barclays Bank who donated generously during  the year, helping us to exceed our initial target of £10,000”.

The hotel’s fundraising efforts  do not stop there. During 2012, the hotel will be supporting Breast Friends, a  Sutton Coldfield based self help group who supports local women with breast  cancer and Trees for Cities, a charity which runs projects transforming  derelict urban areas into green spaces that the local community can enjoy.
