Moor Hall’s gardens officially opened by MP Andrew Mitchell
|
Andrew Mitchell, MP for Sutton Coldfield, visited Moor Hall Hotel & Spa in Sutton Coldfield on Friday 17th June to officially open the hotel’s rose garden and to bury a time capsule as part of the hotel’s 50th anniversary celebrations. Moor Hall was bought by the current owner, Michael Webb in 1961, and the opening of the rose garden is just one of the events held to mark the 50 years of family ownership of the hotel. Present at the opening ceremony were Carl Mullen and Ray Lamb, members of the hotel’s Maintenance team, who over the last few months have restored the woods around Moor Hall to reveal a beautiful serpentine pathway, stone arches and what was once a shrubbery garden. Andrew Mitchell, MP, cut the ribbon to officially open the gardens and dug the hole to bury a time capsule which will be opened in 50 years and contains current brochures, menus and photographs from 2011.
