Restaurants
In our restaurants we are committed to sourcing the finest seasonal produce from local suppliers in order to reduce the number of food miles travelled, thereby reducing our carbon footprint. This move is part of our efforts to become a more environmentally responsible business.
Oak Room Restaurant
The Oak Room restaurant was the original dining room of Sir Edward Ansell in the 1900s and it has an enviable reputation for fine dining. By day it has sweeping views across Moor Hall golf course, by night there is a cosy and intimate atmosphere, making it perfect for a relaxed evening out or a special celebration.
The Oak Room offers an extensive seasonal fixed price menu from which to choose plus a selection of Chef’s Specials and vegetarian options and the Head Chef uses only the best of fresh, seasonal and local ingredients to create his modern interpretations of classic dishes which are cooked with imagination and served with style. The hotel’s commitment to the use of local produce is illustrated by the inclusion of food miles on the menus which show the distance the main ingredient of each dish has travelled from field to plate.
The Oak Room is open for dinner from Monday to Saturday (closed Bank Holiday Mondays) and for lunch on Sundays. Please note that the dress code for the Oak Room Restaurant is smart casual which excludes T-shirts, trainers and faded or ripped jeans.
Sunday Lunch - the Oak Room is open every Sunday for lunch when you can choose from our imaginative and seasonal menu with an extensive wine list. Let us help turn your Sunday into the perfect family occasion – please be sure to book early!

The Country Kitchen
The Country Kitchen offers a wide selection of freshly prepared dishes. For starters, help yourself from the salad bar or home-made soup, then there is always a variety of roast joints, fish dishes, and casseroles accompanied by fresh vegetables and sauces. Sweets come next, of course, including one hot pudding from the kitchen. Then if you can manage it, the cheese board is complimentary.
The Country Kitchen is open for lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday and from 12.30 to 9.30pm on Sundays.

The Lounge Bar & Terrace
The oak panelled lounge bar and terrace offer a more informal dining option. The Terrace & Bar Menu is available here from 10am until 10pm every day, and whether you want to enjoy a snack in the morning, a light bite, a full meal or a delicious afternoon tea, you’ll find something to suit you.
The terrace, with its fabulous views over the surrounding golf course, is bathed in sunshine throughout the summer and is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy an alfresco drink or a meal. On the terrace, you can also choose from the new Hot Rocks menu (see below) which is a fun and unique dining experience! If the British weather refuses to co-operate, and you don’t want to come indoors, you can still enjoy the alfresco dining experience because the huge canopies are heated.
Hot Rocks
Our innovative new Hot Rocks menu is ideal for those who are looking to try something different and exciting. Your choice from the menu is served on a slab of hot volcanic rock, so you can cook your food exactly to your liking at your table!
Although the Hot Rocks menu is normally available 7 days a week, lunchtimes and evenings, until spring 2012 (when hopefully the sun will shine!), Hot Rocks will only be available to pre-booked parties of ten or more. To book, please contact our reception team on 0121 308 3751.
